“Every couple years, you have to go through an off-duty-ballerina-stage. Resist!”—-wise advice from my sister, that I think of every time I start window shopping for tutus and leather jackets. Think the same goes for Edie Sedgwick fashion phases. Little leotards and giant jangly earrings—-so cute, so wrong on me.

Do NOT drive through Boston or take the subway right now. The emergency radio is buzzing with more possible bombs. Please spread this everywhere you can to let your friends and family members know. It could save a life.

Mad Men, Episode 2: Mortality is a Many-Splendored Thing

Is it in complete opposition to that last post to post this? Here’s something I wrote about the second hour of Mad Men and a little bit about my childhood and bad college relationships and hats. Click the link to read it—-would love to know what everyone else thought of hour 2.

what if I

stopped looking at stats

stopped doing social media promotional nonsense

stopped waiting for comments, likes, RTs, etc.

and just wrote and posted and hoped for the best, because really, what can I control here? just what I put online, or on a page, and barely that.

"It’s hard to take your eyes off of Jon Hamm, beautiful and skillful at silences and facial expressions. But it’s hard to keep staring down an elevator shaft, wondering if it’s ever going to come back up."
